It is the nature of news that not every reader will be happy with our coverage and should you be unhappy with it we would welcome any substantiated evidence of error that you may have, which you can submit to us via one of the methods detailed above.
This has nothing to do with the subjective concept of happiness. It has to do with statistics. I am still to see a single article from ISD about a conflict where BoB, Kenny or whatever they are called these days had their asses kicked. When you add this to the fact that they failed miserably everytime they decided to start a campaign in the last 2 years, that is quite a coincidence, don't you think? =====

But on the point you raise about that AAA post. I honestly couldn't care less about it. Two wrongs don't make a right. If somebody had stolen the goonswarm name and squatted on it with an alt corp I'd support you guys getting it back. I don't believe the game of Eve should contain the kind of meta-gaming that can deny a group of players the identity they have established by cheaply creating alt-corps to block alliance naming.
On this issue I'm pro fair play and against cheesy game-mechanic exploitation whoever it benefits and whoever it harms. Take it or leave it.
There is no wrong int his game. Things like scamming, harassing and griefing are not only allowed but activelly encouraged. There is nothing remotely resembling fairplay in Eve, even because fairplay is a very hard thing to define.
Metagame has been used by all successful alliances in this game on occasion. Bob before being hit by this very aspect of the game even bragged about their use of it.
Basically you are talking nonsense just because you have emotional problems with goons. That is your problem, mate, but by continuing to spew absurdities here you just make yourself look stupid (even more than you usually do, really) =====

Why then does an alliance that forgets to pay the bill and has a 3rd party "steal" the name in the interim get to petition and recover their name down the road?
This alliance didn't forget to pay the bills. It was dissolved by someone that WITHIN game rules was able to do it. From this point on the name is free game. CCP seems to agree with me, considering they let it stay as it is. Basically it does only hurt YOUR distorted sense of ethics. So, again, your problem.
Quote:
If it had been any other alliances than Band of Brothers and Goonswarm involved I strongly suspect this would already have been resolved and the name returned.
If the rainbows dropped lollipops I suspect Leprechauns would exist. =====
